Jake is doing fine. He didn't poop last night but did this morning, stool looks normal. I had to put harness on him for the walk last night. Also last night I took them to the fenced-in pool area for them to run around without leash. Jake was so excited and his tail was wagging a mile a minute. He kept circling the pool, finally after 20 minutes, he walked the first step down on the stairs and dipped his toes. We might go there again if nobody's there again tonight. He's eating fine, brushed his teeth this morning, we did a little bit of clicker training this morning, it's great to see such an eager face who wants to be trained. He's getting along with Keely fine, not playing together yet. Overall Jake's just a sweetie. |

Every morning, I would lure Keely into the bedroom with one of the big all-natural cookies Jake�s parents brought. Then Jake and I would do clicker training with hot dogs in the livingroom-hallway area. Keely would be occupied by the big treat and would not whine or scratch by the door at all. I had to keep her in the bedroom while I�m doing clicker training with Jake, because the first day I let them both out, and Keely ended up keeping push Jake out of the way to get the hot dog treats. I had a lot of fun learning how to use a clicker, and Jake definitely knows the clicker means he�ll get a treat. I just walk up and down the livingroom/hallway area, and tell Jake to �Heel�. He would walk right next to me, every few seconds he would look at me (not at the treat bag), and then I would click and immediately give him a treat (reward him for being attentive). Occasionally, he would be focused on something else, but when I click, he would immediately look at me, then I would give him a treat. It seems like Jake�s parents spent a lot of time clicker training him and they�ve done a great job! |

Jake was rummaging through Keely�s toy box and found a Greenie chew toy. This is not the edible Greenie, but this is made of rubber (thus not edible) and made by the same company that makes the edible Greenies. |
