Then we went outside to try out the agility equipment. Just like John and Kate had predicted, when they let Jake off leash, he immediately went over to the neighbors yard to sniff around. Their backyard is not completely fenced-in, so I decided not to let Keely off leash. Finally after about 5 minutes, they were able to call Jake back to start on agility. John used a tennis ball to lure Jake onto the teeter. Jake was so fast and so concentrated on the ball, that it was hard to slow him down to get him to walk on the teeter. |

John trying to get Jake to drop the tennis ball. Jake loves his tennis balls but is pretty good about dropping it after John tells him in a firm voice. |

John and Kate wanted to use the tennis ball to get Jake to go through the tunnel, with John on one side throwing the ball and Kate on the other end encouraging Jake. But even before they throw the ball through the tunnel, Jake ran in and out all by himself! Its amazing how he is not afraid at all about going through it. |

Sham watching us from the patio. He probably thinks we are crazy getting so happy with a dog walking on a narrow board. He would probably agree with Anastasia, Whats so amazing about that? Us cats can do it anytime. |

John luring Jake onto the dog walk. It took several tries also because Jakes so fast and so focused on the tennis ball that he was on the dog walk for a brief second or two before he jumped off to go after the ball. |

John also lured Jake with the tennis ball to do the weave pole. After a few practice runs, both John and Jake got coordinated enough that they did several successful runs. |

Finally! John and Jake successfully went for a clean run on the dog walk. John said that Jake loved agility at the last session so much that theyve made reservation with the agility trainer for them to take Jake to train with him for an hour on Saturday afternoons. |
