Jake
Then we went inside for Jake and Keely to get a drink of water.  Jake was let off leash and he sniffed Keelys behind a couple times, and she didnt mind it at all.  Heres a picture taken by John of Kate with Keely.  Kate said Keelys fur felt so soft.  Keely was not interested in playing with Jakes toys at all.  While we were there for an hour and half, Keely only growled at Jake three times, all three times while we were indoor, twice was when she was being possessive of her doggie Oreo cookies, and once she was being possessive of me.  Jake is dog-savvy and backed off immediately after each growl.  But overall Keely was very good around Jake.
Rocky was in the livingroom looking out of the window when we came inside the house.  When he walked around, John picked him up to introduce him to Keely.  Heres Jake with his dad and little baby brother.  Keely just looked at Rocky but didnt pay more attention to him than that.  But we think Rocky was not all that happy now with two dogs in the house.
Jake snuggling with his mom.  Kate said now theyve stopped letting Jake get on their bed and snuggle in the mornings, because they think that might not be good with his obedience training.  Kate said instead, every morning she would go over to Jakes dog bed and snuggle with him on his bed.  What a great bonding time!  Also John said Jake doesnt seem to mind being bathed.  They would take him to self-service dog wash, and the first time Jake was excited, but when they closed the glass door, Jake figured out where he was and did not like it.  But once they got him into the sink and started watering him, he was okay with it.  John also said Jake doesnt like to have his ears cleaned once a week, but he tolerates it very well.  Also they brush his teeth also, and hes okay with that too.
Picture by John and Kate of Jake making a goofy face.
At first Keely wanted to leave and go outside because she was a little nervous, but after a while she was okay and got a little more relaxed.
Picture taken by John of me giving Jake a hug.  He looks so happy and loved and well taken care of.  Even his dry lip looks a lot better.  John said it might have something to do with his new diet.  He said every night they would roast a chicken, and they would feed Jake half of his dry Nutro Ultra kibbles, and the other half of his dinner would be consisted of chicken, roasted vegetables, and bread, mixed with his fish oil supplement.  Its like a feast for him every night!  And the cats would get some of the chicken too of course.  No wonder Jake bonded with John and Kate at their first meeting, its like he knew from the beginning this is the family for him.
Jake and Keely and I.  Jakes fur also looks well kept, I was sure he had been to the groomers at least once in the last three months since adoption, because or else his fur wouldve be longer if he had not been clipped in three months.  John said he tried the electric clipper on Jake.  He and Kate told me that John even tried the clipper on his own hair first to learn how to handle it.  The haircuts on both John and Jake look professionally done.
Picture of Jake and me by John.  John said Jake loves tennis balls.  He said once he heard the bookcase get knocked over, and it turned out it was because Jake tried to climb the bookcase to get to the tennis ball on top.
