Jake
Both Jake and Samson were quiet for a day or two after so much activities in the past week. After Jake and I got back from Samsons house, I took Anastasia out of the bedroom.  She then sniffed around to make sure Samsons not hiding somewhere waiting to follow her around.

Snoopys foster mom, Karen, emailed to say that her new owners reported that Snoopy is the love of their lives.  She has lost another ten pounds so that is 20 altogether.  She is now enjoying chasing squirrels in their yard.  Picture of Snoopy at her new home.  Also Karens new foster dog is Marcus.  Actually Marcus is the stray dog from Birmingham I was going to foster instead of Jake back in June.  His adopter said hes afraid of men and gave him back to ESRA.  Now hes doing wondering at Karens house, especially with her husband and teenage son.

Karen emailed to say that she saw Channing was walking with stiff legs yesterday and she took him to the vet.  It turns out that he has hip dysplasia and arthritis and a bullet lodged in his hip!  Hes always so active and friendly, its hard to believe that he has hip problems and that somebody shot him.

This morning I saw on the Today Show that it snowed overnight in New York, and I thought about Snoopy and how she must enjoy seeing and learning about the strange white fluffy stuff from the sky and cold white blanket on the ground.  Then when I got to school, I opened an email from Karen, of Snoopy in the snow in NY!
Jake on Auburn University campus with their Christmas decorations (wreaths over doors and red bows on the pine trees).
I received a package of gourmet dog cookies from Dondon and his wife Flora in Atlanta.  The cookies smelled so good of ginger snap that I ate a piece (Im guessing its made of human grade ingredients).  The cookie itself has no taste (except maybe whole wheat), and the icing was a little sweet.  Jake loves them of course, and he gets so excited whenever I bring the bag out.  But Im only giving it to him one every other day, so itll last for two weeks.  Its so nice of Dondon and Flora to remember Jake.
When Jake gets excited (before going out for potty or walks, before getting treats or food), he would jump straight up in the air, very appropriate for his breed (Springer!).  He can jump very high, almost as high as five feet.
Some fallen leaves on campus.  Winter will be here in a few days.
