Jake
I put Buckley in the crate right before we went to sleep for the night.  During the middle of the night, around midnight, Buckley started whining.  After about ten minutes, I told him to be "Quiet".  And he did for about an hour, but he started it again.  I thought maybe he's a little anxious sleeping in a new environment, even though he's supposedly crate trained (the crate door faced me, so he had full view of me and Jake from the crate).  I let him whine for about two hours, then finally I woke up and just sat in front of him and stared at him, trying to think what to do next about crate training.  When I sniffed that he was giving out gas, I took him outside for potty.  He had diarrhea again, this time right outside of my front door (I picked up most of it, and washed the rest away with water and detergent the next morning).  So Buckley is very well housetrained, he tried so hard to keep his crate clean.  After we came back to the apartment that night, he whine for a few seconds in the crate while scratching, but was quiet the rest of the night. Jake watching TV and hanging around with Buckley.
The next morning, Buckley had a little bit of diarrhea again, but he ate all his breakfast again.  He played with Jake a little bit more, and then I took both of them to my car, so I could drop Buckley off with Patty, and then pick up Samson, my professor's Basset whom I'm dog sitting for the week. Jake and Buckley were fine together in the car.  But Buckley did try to get into the driver seat whenever I opened the driver seat door.  Also whenever I got out of the car, Buckley would jump from the backseat into the driver seat.
When I dropped him off with Patty, Buckley seemed to warm up to her immediately also.  I think overall Buckley just loves to be with people.

Patty emailed to say that Buckley is doing great with her Springer, Lucy.  They even ate out of each others dinner bowls.  Patty started to feed him Lucys lamb and rice food to see if his itching would decrease.  She also gave him a dose of Benedryl, and that seems to decrease his itching.  Patty has not crated him yet, but says he did fine when they left him and Lucy alone in the house and also was great overnight.

Patty took Buckley to the vet yesterday and he had his heartworm injection.  The vet didnt say Buckley has kennel cough, but he did give Patty some antibiotic for him.  Also the vet gave Buckley a steroid injection to help with the itching.  Patty says he seems to be doing a lot better with it.  She took Buckley to the vet again today for his second dose of the heartworm treatment.  She also added that Buckley is naturally calm, so she doesnt have to crate him so far, but they have taken away all the tennis balls.
After I dropped Buckley off with Patty on the morning of Sunday, November 20, I went to pick up Samson.  Dr. and Mrs. Ravis were going to visit their parents and then to attend their granddaughters baptism, so Samson got to stay with us for one week over Thanksgiving.

After 20 minutes of sniffing around in my apartment, Jake and Samson started playing.
Samsons short, chubby legs can run very fast.
Samson is fascinated by Anastasia.  Mrs. Ravis said that the only cat Samson has ever met beside Anastasia is their neighbors cat who comes and taunts Samson in front of their French door.  Samson followed Anastasia around, barked at her once every hour or so.  I dont worry about him hurting her though, I think he just cant figure out why the cat doesnt play with him like the dogs do.  Sometimes I would tell Samson to come with me, so Anastasia could have some time alone.  Samson was very good and followed me most of the time.
Samson didnt play with Jake as much as Buckley did.  Samson and Jake would rest for 20 minutes after about 5 minutes of play, then start again.  Here is Jake sleeping on Samsons bed, and Samson sleeping on Jakes bed.  Its weird, when Samson came over when Brenna still lived here, Brenna would sleep on Samsons bed too, and Samson would sleep on hers.
For a brief minute the two boys shared a bed.
It got warmer on Monday, so I took Samson and Jake to play in the tennis court.
