Jake
Sandy and Xalina saved the hardest part of the test (for most dogs) last: Sit, Down, Stay, and Come on command.  Bentley went first, and it took him about five tries before finishing the test.  Sandy said Bentley was picking up his mom's nervousness (I wasn't nervous during the test, after all, I've done the test a few times already; besides, Jake and I have done our best to prepare, all he had to do is to repeat what he does during practice, the rest was out of our hands/paws).  Jonah was next.  Jonah is being trained as a search and rescue dog (Sandy does search and rescue with her GSD's).  Even though Jonah is only 9 months old (he's about 80 lbs already), he is very well behaved.  His mom said she trains him a lot him because he has obsessive-compulsive tendencies.  It took Jonah only two tries before finishing the test.  Then they had to leave, to go to a vet appointment.  The third dog was Scout.  It took Scout five tries to finish the test also (he was especially distracted because his mom was there also, to watch him perform).  Scout's dad did get frustrated again, but luckily he didn't spank Scout this time.  By this time, everybody was getting a little antsy, because the test was taking longer than expected.  Then Jake and I went up.  He did Sit, Down, Stay, Come all just like that, in a snap, immediately after I said the commands, with just one try.  By the time we finished, the room was silent, everybody, including two of Sandy and Xalina's friend who were there, just watched us in amazement.  Nobody could believe that the best dog in class is a rescued foster dog who has never taken an obedience class.  Max did pretty well too, with three tries, considering he's usually hyper, but I think he was getting tired near the end of the two hours.  Everybody passed the test! Jake and I and his CGC certificate from Sandy and Xalina (the AKC version will arrive in a few weeks).  After class, Jake and I went to Red Bandanna pet supply store to get cat food and dog biscuits.  He was very good in the store.  He didn't mark the merchandise, and he sat calmly while a woman petted him (with a baby on her other arm).
Then we went to Heather's house to deliver the collars and leashes, for Heather to meet Jake, for Jake to play with Heather's dogs, and for me to pick up equipment for Woofstock next week.  Heather gave Jake a new toy as prize for passing the CGC test.  Then Jake and Chloe (Heather's dog) got to play in the backyard.
Jake and Chloe sharing the water bowl.
Sandy and her puppy Bashi.  After the test, Bentleys mom and I stayed behind to speak to Xalina.  Jake and Bentley kept watching Bashi through the fence while we talked.  Xalina said its like Jake and Bentley were at the zoo.
Jake loves water, and he sat in the pool even as Heather was filling it with water.
Jake loved sniffing in the yard, and he had so much fun playing fetch, but the two dogs didn't really play together though.
It was getting hot, so Heather brought out the kiddie pool.  Chloe watching her mom in the garage as Heather was getting the kiddie pool.
