| I hadn�t seen Dudley since his adoption about a year and half ago, and I missed him very much. I�ve talked about going to see him, and finally asked Molly for the best time to come in October. After dropping off Jake and Anastasia at Janet Adams� house nearby, I arrived at Dudley�s house around 11 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2005. Dudley greeted me at the door by sniffing me for about five minutes. I guess he smelled Channing, an ESRA rescue whom I transported to Atlanta the day before, and Jake on me. For a while I wasn�t sure if Dudley recognized or remembered me, because he kept sniffing me, and didn�t act excited or jumped on me. I just hoped that he didn�t remember me as the second person who abandoned him. | ||||||||||||

| Then we went to the backyard so Dudley could show me his playing fetch. First Justin and Hayden went outside with me. Then Molly and Avery joined us. Molly said they decided to have Dudley shaved year-round, just like they did with their previous dog. I thought it�s okay, I did it with Penelope too, much easier to keep them clean this way, as long as they get extra protection when going outside in cold weather. | ||||||||||||
| Dudley is still acting very calm and laidback, even around Hayden and Avery. Dudley did perk up for a few seconds each time when we threw the Frisbee for him to catch. Then I realized that this is just Dudley�s personality. Molly said it�s almost like Dudley has two sides, one is very calm and laidback around the kids and inside the house, yet he can still be energetic when playing fetch and swimming and enjoys walking and playing other dogs. Justin said Dudley is the most laidback dog he ever seen. | ||||||||||||

| Justin said Dudley and Milo, their cat, are getting along fine. Dudley still occasionally chases Milo, but overall they just leave each other alone. Molly said Dudley�s ears are doing better too. They try to clean them more often, and Dudley didn�t get to swim as much this past summer because the pool area is being remodeled, and that probably helped with keeping Dudley�s ears clean too. | ||||||||||||
| It was a bit chilly outside, even though it was around noon. I had a lot of fun just sitting in the sun and petting Dudley. As you can see from the picture, he�s all stretched out and enjoyed the attention too. I�m pretty sure he remembers me, in the good way. | ||||||||||||
