Brenna
Attached is the copy of our group shot together the morning we were leaving.  Enough times can't be said on what a good time we had! It was by far the most relaxing part of our whole trip, and we were SOOOOO glad we took the time to "detour" our homeward route to your place!!! Buddy and Brenna are simply soul mates! It is great to see them interact, and I suspect Buddy was a bit down (like you said previously) when we left. It's too bad we couldn't have taken him home with us for a "Brenna Summer Camp"!!!

Brennas parents called tonight and said Brenna did not eat much during the trip, actually stopped eating near the end of the trip and had constipation, but now they are back at home and that shes back eating regularly, her BM is getting back to normal again.  They also said that Brenna was really tired from the trip, that when they got to Buddys house, Brenna was irritated and grumpy.  But after she had some rest and realized it was Buddy, they played a lot together.  Buddy really liked Brennas Nylabone so they left it with him.  When they got back to TN, they bought another one for Brenna.  Scott and Brenna were playing fetch with it in the yard, and Brenna left it in the yard when they went on their afternoon walk together.  Scott said with other dogs, he would have to remember to retrieve the bone or else it would just be left out there, but with Brenna, she remembered exactly where she left it, because as they were approaching their house as they were finishing their walk, Brenna went straight to the spot where she last left the Nylabone and picked it up.  What a smart girl!

This was a tough one to get since the moon was so faint due to all the dust in the air! This was taken by me tonight a little before 10PM. It was quite an interesting shade!

Just wanted to send you a quick note that we still very much enjoy and semiregularly visit Brenna's web page! I like how it is simple yet full of fun!
The neighbor's (Morgan the 5 year old) had their July 4'th picnic early this weekend and they invited Brenna over after the food was put up.  BOY did was she in Brenna heaven!!! A dozen little kids and all the parents were just swooned by Brenna. She went from person to person to person workin' that crowd for pets like she does well! She would go to each person and sit properly in front of them and then place her paw on their leg. WHO CAN RESIST THAT FACE!!!
She loves people and REALLY loves kids! I think she must have come from a family with lots of children. I sometimes wish Michelle and I had some children!

From Michelle, Our neighbor was mowing the lawn and I think he almost fell off of his riding lawn mower when he saw Scott's solar heating device.  Knowing us, he probably might have thought it was a device for contacting alien life forms!!  Also, thanks to Brenna we also have a new patio area that Scott dug out underneath our back deck.  Brenna has always laid there and now we know why because it is five to ten degrees cooler under there.

Here is my latest endeavor with solar powering our house.  We are all well here.  Brenna got a nice shave by me today! She looks so pretty shaved down!
Anyway, another thing keeping me very busy these days is my efforts to turn GREEN. My goal... reduce my electric bill to 50% less than what I was using when I first moved in a year ago.

I can now say for certain I am more than half way to that goal! See the attached plot. It is my efforts to track my electric consumption. The first 12% reduction came from going to LED lighting that runs off the sun for lights in our house. The next big drop to about 23% was the installation of Phase one of my solar water system. This was just the pipes on the wall outside that preheated water before it goes into the hot water heater. This was still a pretty nice gain for such a simple plumbing job. But it didn't store up hot water for all day and night use. It worked best only when the sun shined on it. Phase 2 was completed on July 3rd, with the 4th of July being "first light" for the system (Independence from electricity!). We have had noting but mostly cloudy to rain for the next 4 days, so while I was collecting and storing some hot water, it wasn't at it's peak... YET... I snatched another huge drop to almost 35% less electricity than what I was using in the past! Now that's huge!
The sun did come out most of the day today, so I can't wait to see the next analysis in a few days. But I am only about 15% from reaching my 50% less electricity needs! I am already working on a few ideas for the home stretch....
Also attached is another time consumer, Michelle's earrings display. She will be doing her first show with a neighbor of ours next weekend and then the weekend after that. Exciting for her! It is a very low expectation endeavor, so we won't be too upset if she only sells a few earrings, but I keep telling her she and her earrings are better than that!
