"First, many many many thanks for Brenna's birthday gift card! I have been very delinquent in thanking you for that and in sending you a photo of what Brenna got with it. Given that Halloween is coming up and Brenna has warn the same Cinderella dress several years in a row we felt it was time for a new outfit! She is "experimenting" with her darker side this year dressing up as a skeleton instead of Cinderella... ooooooh! See the attached picture. It fits her VERY well and she looks good in it. Everyone here says they can't wait to see her in it." |

"Then there's Brenna's new friend... Forrest. ONLY in the country do you get to have the experiences Brenna keeps getting, a WIDE variety of animals to become friends with! So this morning Brenna and I were getting our morning dose of Vitamin D from the Sun when lo and behold we saw a deer in the neighbors yard. This is not particularly unusual as this is a frequent occurrence here. What was VERY unusual was the fact that when he saw us he ran TOWARDS us instead of away! He came right up to the fence and Brenna greeted the deer nose to nose. I wasn't sure whether to trust the deer and let it in the fence or let Brenna out, but after 10 minutes of it sniffing my hand and Brenna's nose, and Brenna wasn't barking or scared I decided it was time to see if what I thought the deer wanted to do was for real... it wanted to play with Brenna!" |

"So I opened the gate, the two greeted each other in the middle of the yard, and they started running in circles chasing each other!! Unbelievable! Brenna made instant friends with a deer. Then the neighbor behind us with the 24 acre horse farm pulled up and said that this deer was his as a pet. He somehow has been keeping it in his barn the past month and it has become very domesticated. They named it Forrest (and it apparently answers to it's name now?!). So Forrest might be around again, and Brenna will get to play with it some more." |

"I do have to be careful, if this dear is a buck and not a doe, when it grows antlers it might be aggressive during rutting season, and it might actually charge Brenna, but for now it is an adorable baby!
