"So this is a chair I had tipped over to keep bird poop out of it, and then I had draped a towel over it to dry it out. Precious very quickly made it a Cathouse! So then I found a spare padded cushion and put it inside. now Precious sprawls out in it daily like she owns the world!"

"Yes, it dawned on me just last week that Brenna's 5'th was coming up. I realized you were moved to CA, so I know it will be a low key celebration, but we will have it in Florida! We are going down on Thursday the 2nd of Oct. Michelle's parents arrived here yesterday from Michigan on their way to their 6 months in Florida for the winter. Michelle's sister arrives tonight. Brenna is having a BIG 'OLE TIME with all the people around! Also, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we pick up Morgan (the 6 year old next door that used to own Rusty the beagle) from school and babysit her for 2 hours. Brenna gets to go to school with us to pick her up and Brenna is just beside herself seeing all the kids!! I'll have to bring the camera sometime and send you a few pictures."

"Brenna is now making several cat friends in the neighborhood. Also, the neighbor across the street adopted a new dog and Brenna now gets to play with her almost every day. Her name is Allie and she is a mix that I'll have to get the owner to tell me again what she is. Interesting though that she is black with some white. It's great to see Brenna no longer hung up on black dogs!"
"It is with a mix of sadness and relief to tell you that Brenna's cousin Kasey the 14 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback traveled the "Rainbow Bridge" yesterday. Her hind leg finally gave out permanently and Shelley knew it was finally time. As a very interesting and comforting "sign", 5 minutes before Shelley called me to tell me she had made the appointment to put her down I had seen a beautiful rainbow at sunrise in Florida. Upon arriving home in Tennessee that evening I immediately saw a rainbow at sunset, bridging my day, and Kasey's passing! I managed to snap a picture of the evening bow, and we called it Kasey's bow all evening, as it was visible for an astounding amount of time, no less than 30 minutes. And 5 minutes after snapping this picture another rainbow appeared above it, a perfect DOUBLE rainbow!
Kasey is now surrounded in heaven by all her many previous sisters and brothers from her litter, and Kent, her master!"
