�We had a celebratory dinner every night this weekend! (we always look for good excuses to eat what we normally would not!) It was, in fact, 3 years ago today, June 1, that you had to make the very hard and very loving decision to drop Brenna off at our house and leave her for good!
We STILL can't imagine what that was like, as we miss her when we are gone just 3 hours to a store.
She and Precious continue to bond like nothing I'd ever imagine I would witness. Brenna let Precious in her bed, in our house, and even shares her daddy and mommy with her. Brenna genuinely cares for Precious and looks out for her. Precious gives Brenna kisses from head to toe about once every 2 hours. It's SOOOOO adorable!
Anyway, thanks for the sharing of this special anniversary date and thanks for looking out for Brenna's best interest by matching her up with us!

Sorry I forgot to finish this topic! So how did Precious get the middle name Marge.....? You have to say the following sentence with the theme song from a very popular TV show:
T H E S I M P... S O N S
Dhohhhhhhh! Homer Simpson's wife, Marge, makes this particular noise when she is annoyed (kinda like a low guttural clearing of your throat). Precious CONSTANTLY makes the exact same sound! Precious is one of the most talkative cats I've ever been around! You can literally hear her thinking by her constant "voicing" sound she makes.
I may have to be somewhat to blame, as I encouraged her to communicate with me. When she first started coming around months ago and would meow, every time she did I would respond. Then I would make cat sounds back and she would respond. So we developed this sort of back and forth sound making at each other. And now she just "Marges" all the time whenever she is thinking about anything like the current situation, etc. If she is licking Brenna and Brenna moves she "complains" to Brenna with the Marge sound, kind of like saying, "Hey, lay still! I'm giving you a bath!".
So we now frequently call her Marge!�
�Boy this country livin' keeps one on the edge of their seat! We just got back from our walk this morning and I JUST closed the gate of our fence with Brenna inside (thank goodness) when I looked up and 30 feet away was not one, but an ENTIRE FAMILY of skunks strolling through our back yard!! Brenna immediately noticed and started barking, while I immediately scooped up Precious and slung her inside the back door (as she is known to go after and attack ANYTHING that comes in our yard, she's fearless!)�
�Just wanted to share a few pics with you all. We had the kids over last weekend for their belated 19th birthday celebration! We took an updated family photo to now include Precious.�
Just two nights ago our neighbors where chasing an Armadillo through our yard and from under our van. I didn't get the camera in time to get a picture of that armored beast!
Gotta share a behavior that Precious has done twice this week. When we were outside and Brenna was lying under our deck where I was sitting, Precious went and caught a butterfly, carried it over in her mouth to Brenna, laid it right down beside Brenna and started bathing Brenna with kisses! She did the same thing a few days later with a grasshopper. These two are somethin' else together!�
