Brenna

Well, we did a test run of setting up our table for our very first craft fair booth on Saturday to see if both Michelle's earrings and my book would fit. They do, amazingly. We are all set now, except we have to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow to buy a mirror for people to try on earrings and look at themselves. We almost forgot something that basic. Also, according to my accounting software I only need to sell about 15 more books to break even for 2007. After that I finally make a profit off of my book! I think between this craft fair and the one in November I should easily do that
Notice goosy laying next to her again.

These two are hilarious!! Yes, Brenna bounces in circles around the cat waving her paws in the air while the cat swats as if she is annoyed, yet then moments later they will lay down next to each other. Minutes later they do the same thing again! Now when Michelle and I stroll through the neighborhood there are four of us, Michelle, Brenna, I, and Precious!
Also attached is a picture of Brenna's new playmate, Precious! It is a neighbor's cat that Brenna has been flirting with the past few weeks, and Brenna being the "Cat Whisperer" she is has won it over and now it comes to our backyard to play with Brenna! It is side splittingly hilarious to watch Brenna dance around this cat while the cat pretends it is perturbed, and moments later rolls on it's back and purrrrrrrs! Brenna is just quite the socialite.
But we did get a free all day concert with a very good band, and met and talked to a lot of people. One person even took Michelle's piano teaching card, so she might get a new student out of it! She does have another new student starting in two weeks.
Well, let me preface the following by saying we at least made more money than we spent, but we can't afford that Cadilac today! Michelle did great by selling 6 earrings while I only sold one book. But I soon realized that would probably what it was going to turn out like when there was no shortage of people lined up looking at our wares, but not many buying.
Also attached is a picture of the magnolia stub that I took from Ron & Aileen's in Florida and planted in our backyard yesterday!

I also meant all week to share the latest close call for Brenna with Peppe LePew (our neighborhood skunk)! So, I told you about Brenna's new friend, Precious the cat, right (see attached as well)? Brenna and Precious play together every day now. We walk up the road to her house, or Precious wonders down the street to our house, but just about every day now they frolic together.
So earlier this week when I was taking Brenna out around 10PM for he final pee for the night, as I opened the front door Brenna flew out the door chasing something. Knowing that Precious comes over at night as well I assumed it was her that Brenna was chasing after. When I looked up after Brenna stopped running I could only see a silhouette of the "cat" in the light of the street light. I saw the cat with it's tail in the air walking in circles. But what I also noticed was a distinctive waddle as it walked around first pointing it's butt towards Brenna and then turning as if to sniff Brenna.... it was the waddle of a SKUNK, not a cat!!!! I almost froze with fear as I pictured the rest of my evening staying up all night bathing Brenna in tomato juice and STILL probably having to make her sleep outside because of the stench from being sprayed! But I IMMEDIATELY yelled for Brenna to "COME" and thank goodness she is so well behaved because she immediately ran back to me NARROWLY avoiding being "skunked"! That was a VERY close call. It turns out this guy had been living on all of our front porches (the hazards of living way out in the country), but James across the street (Duke's dad) shot Peppe two nights ago and that ends that worry.... for now! BOY that was close! I actually think that just like Brenna is a "Cat Whisperer", I also think she is a "Skunk Whisperer". That skunk had every opportunity to spray her and n that short minute did not. Again, it looked to me as if the skunk became more curious of Brenna than scared, as it circled several times.
Anyway, that's the news from the "Brenna Reality Show" for now!
