I took Anastasia and Harrison with me for Tara's euthanasia and cremation. Anastasia really didn't react any differently, but just being quietly there with me as always. During the drive to Atlanta for the cremation, she sat on my lap most of the time, as she does on most car trips. |

After we left Tara's body in the warehouse area for cremation, we walked to the front to sit in their private waiting area for the procedure to finish. |

I took Anastasia to the vet at Los Angeles about a week after the move. Dr. Schwartz is the same vet I used when I lived in L.A. last time. He remembers me, but I think he got Anastasia mixed up with somebody else. He thought I adopted Anastasia from Taimie right before I moved to Alabama. He read through all of Anastasia's medical records, asked us if she had FIV and FIP tests done, and recommended having Anastasia put anesthesia, so he could remove the ball of wax from her right ear for testing.
When he did that and we had the culture done, there was no microbial infection whatsoever, but he confirmed the eardrum rupture. He prescribed prednisolone for 4 weeks and said not to clean her ears so often. In the picture shows that Anastasia was unsteady on her feet after coming back from the procedure. |

The vet cleaned her ears today and said actually she has an inner ear infection, not just the wax plugged in the ear canal. Plus he pulled another molar tooth out, so she's getting oral antibiotics. She was very grouchy when I picked her up. The vet said he doesn't know why she got the inner ear infection, so he said to have the new vet recheck in one month. |
