Anastasia
Brenna snuggling in her new cat bed.
Recently I found out that Anastasias more tolerant of little kids than she is of adults.  Two little neighbor boys (ages 3 and 4) saw me in the hallway and asked to see the dog.  But when I brought Jake out, they were a little afraid to pet him because hes bigger than they are.  Then the three-year-old asked to see the cat.  I brought Anastasia out, and the little boys grabbed her all over and played her like a doll (I was holding her), and she didnt even react to them.  Maybe shes more comfortable around the kids because their size is less intimidating.
I made a doggie blanket for my friend Kellies foster Mini Poodle, Dizzy.  Picture of Dizzy contributed by Kellie.
Dizzy sleeping on the blanket.  Hes so cute and fuzzy, and from what I heard, very smart!  Cant wait to meet him!
Anastasia wasnt interested in the all the new pet supplies I got, but she was very interested in the brown bag that came with the items.

Anastasia had her teeth cleaned.  No tooth lost again.  Shes taking cyclosporine every 15 days, so twice a month, just like the vet predicted when we started the drug 18 months ago.  Supplement-wise, weve tried so many that just tipped her immune system balance one way or the other, with no great help on her gums.  So now shes back to taking only fatty acid supplement once a day, Vitamin B Complex three times a week, and Vitamin C occasionally.
Friday, October 28, 2005, Anastasia and Jake and I went to Rock City, near Chattanooga, TN.  A few other visitors saw the cat in the backpack and were amused.  The workers at Rock City were already putting on some of their Christmas lights.
Lovers Leap.  According to folklore, a young brave named Sautee fell deeply in love with Nacoochee, a beautiful Cherokee maiden.  Nacoochee loved Sautee as well, but their tribes were engaged in a bitter feud.  The two finally ran off together, but Sautee was soon captured and thrown from the tip of Lovers Leap.  The despairing Nacoochee quickly followed her lover, leaping to her own death far below.
Vincent the rescued Mini Schnauzer from Atlanta is now potty trained, and he was adopted from his Schnauzer Rescues foster home in Augusta, GA to a family in South Carolina!
Observation Point.  It looks scary from the picture, but the slab of rock is very stable, unless you are afraid of heights I guess.  Most parts of the rock garden is colder than temperature near the base of the mountain, so I had to put Anastasias sweater on her.
