Here are some tips that would help you do things faster and make things less complicated:
- When putting water in the soil, tilt the graduated cylinder a little, so the water will sink to the bottom faster.
- Measure the soil first before doing anything else.
- Every time when you are observing, record the data on a separate sheet of paper and don't have the paper anywhere around where you are working on the experiment.
- Understand the "Soil Texture Triangle" percentages. You should also know how to use the triangle. Remember to use a ruler when using the triangle.
