| Mike Howard of M. B. Howard and Associates provided some insight to those in attendance at the Spring Open House Meeting on January 26, 2003. He is a dynamic motivational speaker with engagements throughout the country. A short summary of his information is provided as a reminder to those present and to allow the OHS community at large to benefit from his expertise. We Must Have a Vision for GREATNESS BEGINS IN YOUR MIND. To do this, he recommended a Dream Book, a Dream Team, Dream Cards. He elaborated on the Dream Book. Take a book and personalize it. Write down your goals and the ways in which you are going to achieve those goals. Since we learn with pictures, cut out pictures of what you want to accomplish and put them in your book. Keep focused on those things. We Believe We Will Achieve We must keep a winning attitude and display that to our students. He challenged the group to call the mind the last 5 positive things that we as parents / caregivers have told our students. We must fill their minds with positive thoughts. There will be a difference in the results. Always Strive for the Best and Never Settle for Less |
