The 2000 European youth gathering will take place in Rome,Italy during the celebrations of World Youth Day. Here is some information, more will be posted here in due course.
Lasallian Groups will be accommodated in the Casa Generalizia and the School of St John Baptist de La Salle. There are 150 bedrooms available in Blocks B and C in the CG. The smallest rooms can accommodate 3 in sleeping backs - the larger ones can accommodate 5 or 6. In addition there will be a further 100 bunk beds available in the basement of Block B. Additionally there are various small group rooms available both Blocks B and C - with additional toilet and shower facilities in the basement of Block C. It is estimated that approximately 1000 young people could be accommodated in the CG. Others could be accommodated in the neighbouring school. The CG is a distribution point for meals
Lasallian Youth will be identified by a cap .To date a French group, two Italian groups and a group from Madagascar have offered to assist with the animation of the Lasallian Youth - and to be available to provide a Lasallian input into the JMJ programme.
