| Van Morrison is one of the most important artists who never come to Japan, 'cause he hates to fly by plane for long distances. Perhaps he has a heart problem. There may be few Japanese who have ever seen his shows. The tickets were already sold out. I asked some people, but nobody had any extra tickets, so I bought one from a ticket scalper. I paid $90.00 (the fixed price was $62.20), 'cause I really wanted to see his show. Of course, the theatre was a full house. He and his band played "Domino", "Jackie Wilson said", "Moondance" and also other artists' cover songs like "Georgia on My Mind", "Rollover Beethoven", and last song - my favorite - "Brown Eyed Girl". At first I was worried about him 'cause he was so old, but he had a miraculous voice. I was really surprised at his show and had a good time. I think that he is the best soulful vocalist of white men. | ![]() |
