October 28, 2000 "The Bridge School Benefit Concert"
Neil Young makes a plan and opens The Bridge School Benefit Concert for physically handicapped people every year. It is the biggest music event of the Bay Area.
The performers were Foo Fighters, Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young, and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. The tickets were already sold out, but I went to Mountain View. I asked the box office, but as expected the staff said, "Sold out!", but I looked for some people, and I could buy an extra ticket; moreover, the ticket was only $10! I was a very lucky guy.
The concert started at 5:00PM. Beck's stage was an acoustic set but it was interesting. Tom Petty looked a little tires, with a boring show. The best stage and people excited was Dave Matthews Band. Their last number was played with Neil Young. It was pretty good. Neil Young's show was also good. He played with Spooner Oldham (Key), Jim Keltner (Dr), Donald Duck Dunn (B), Ben Keith (G), and his wife & sister. CSN&Y entered in the next day. I thought playing "Teach Your Children" at midnight was a little strange. The show finished about 2:00AM.
