I Just got a mail from the site host telling me they are going to shut this site down in July 2009. There is nothing I can do to stop them. So I moved all new info and songs to the myspace site. Check that out by Clicking here

Older Stuff
Ricardo's Sept 24 2006
The gig at Recardo's on Sunday was lot's of fun. Thanks to everyone who came along
This was part of the Morikado Jazz festival Sat 23 and Sun 24th.
I went to Moriguchi to watch some of the bands play on the 23rd. Of the bands I saw Ruzubantei were a lot of fun playing rocky blues songs, and Ohsawa Jazz Band played some standard Jazz numbers really well.
On Sunday our set was from 5:00pm, but I wanted to see the Maple Sounds Jazz Orchestra's set from 1:00pm. They were really powerful, very impressive.
The band before us at Ricardo's were Amy's Quartet. They played some low tempo numbers in a very cool style. Quite a contrast to our set.
Anyway, Amy's Quartet finished up a bit early, so we could start a bit sharpish and get in an extra song.
We played:
Aozora Ni Teppo
Moriguchi Kadoma Jazz Festival
Area 51
Chili Sauce
Never NG
Taiwan
Geisha
Beer
Surfin Dead
Okinawa
My-T-Wave
I already wrote a song about you
Ninja (this was the extra one)
Back to Typhoon 23
It all went down really well, which was a great relief as we've never done a jazz festival before, and we didn't play any jazz.
I'd like to thank all the staff and organizers of the Morikado Jazz Festival.

The new line up (Uro Uro Drums, Tachamo Bass Voc, Moray Guitar Voc) has been in the studio rehearsing some new material and some older material for upcoming gigs. Watch this space for details.
One of the new songs, 'Utopia', sounds really cool.
Tok kun's versatile druming fits in really well, and Ta chan's bass sound is just spot on.
A live recording of the session at Studio D was taken and may find it's way on to a very limited edition CD.
October 17 2004
Tokuda Hideki "Tokkun" also known as Uro Uro, joins My-T-Hi on the drums.

Beer is getting some decent reviews at garage band:
I'm feeling oddly affectionate towards this quirky little track. I like the instrumentations............ Fun lyrics, cool melody. Nice work.

My-T-Hi is taking a long break and will probably reform with a new line up.
Moray's new mini solo CD will be out soon, to be titled 'Beer 2004'.
Never NG got these 2 cool reviews:
WooHoo
Nice one. I wouldn't have thought it pop though. I was thinking more along the lines of rock maybe. Its original thats for sure. Keep up the good work!
Best bass player
Great guitar. Somehow it reminds me of Buddy Holly. That bass line is groovin. He can play in my band anytime. Joe Strummer of the Clash used to write song like this.. I think he sold a few Million and maybe you will too.

The album features 10 tracks:
Never NG
To Dear Marcy
Stuck in Texas
In the Middle of the Night
Another Day
Beer
Ha Ha Ha
Curry
Back Very Soon
My-T-Hi
Never NG is a play on words in Japanese, with Takayuki on vocals. It's about a dislike for sticky food. If you listen closely you can hear some interesting sounds in the background. It's driven by a cool bouncy bass riff and has a really dancable feel. We liked it so much that it gets a mention in the track titled Beer.
To Dear Marcy is writen by Hiroko and dedicated to the High Lows guitarist. It starts with a slow melodic intro, and bursts in to a guitar pop classic with Hiroko on vocals.
Stuck in Texas has Moray on the slide guitar adding a little bit of a southern flavour to this song about Austin, Texas.
In the Middle of the Night brings the tempo down to a cool swing with a bluesy, late night feel. Ethnic hand percussion is used to add some interesting sounds.
Another Day is a funky tune with a cool piano riff in the verse which turns into a neat musical break towards the end.
Beer tells the story of recording Never NG and some events going on around the same time.
Ha Ha Ha has a heavier sound to it than the other tracks. The lyrics are very simple and the chorus is....... (you really have to hear for yourself, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha).
Curry is a rock song like Keef might write.
Back Very Soon is a relaxing tune to cool things down a bit.
My-T-Hi tells the story of how the band formed. 'Now listen to that red guitar'.
