ASTRID L. ZIALCITA SCHOLARSHIP
- The scholarship is open to students from Southern Leyte and from Estonia who are enrolled in U.P. Diliman or at U.P. Manila and who have the following qualifications:
- must be natural-born Filipino citizens (for Southern Leyte applicants);
- must have an average of at least "2.5" and "2.00" during the immediately preceding semester FOR THE UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE APPLICANTS RESPECTIVELY;
- must have no grade of "5.0" and unremoved "4.0" or "Inc." and must have carried at least 15 units IN THE UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL and 9 units IN THE GRADUATE LEVEL in the immediately preceding semester;
- if incoming freshmen, must have qualified for admission to U.P. Diliman or U.P. Manila;
- must not be enjoying any other scholarship or grant. In case he/she holds or gets another scholarship, the holder must inform the Office of Scholarships and Student Services so that there will be no duplication of benefits;
- must not have been the subject of disciplinary action worse than a 5-day class suspension;
- must not have been found guilty of participating in any violent incident such as hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on campus or off-campus;
- must be willing to submit a report to the donor every semester.
- The grant consists of the following benefits:
- school fees as assessed
- book allowance of P500/semester
- monthly stipend of P800.00
- The scholarship is renewable every semester until the recipient finishes his/her course provided he/she continues to meet conditions (b) to (d) and (e) to (h). In addition, he must not drop any subject in the preceding semester that would result in an underload.
- The Office of Scholarships and Student Services, Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs shall take care of the administration of the scholarship.
