One slot each in the undergraduate and graduate (Master's and Ph.D.) for the different U.P. Campuses.
Rules:
The grants are open to bonafide students who have the following qualification:
must have a potential for leadership as shown in membership in student councils, organizations, debates, clubs, etc;
must have a weighted average of at least "2.75" during the immediately preceding semester with no grade of "5.00" or unremoved grades of "4.00" or "Inc." (for graduate students: "1.75")
must not have been the subject of disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension;
must not be enjoying any other scholarship or financial assistance.
To maintain the scholarship, a recipient must carry the normal load prescribed for the course in which the student is enrolled and must pass all the academic subjects with a weighted average of at least "2.75" in the undergraduate and "1.75" for graduate program.
Scholarship lost due to academic reasons may be recovered provided the student obtains in the semester immediately following the disqualification at least a weighted average of "2.75" for undergraduate and "1.75" for graduate students. In case the scholastic delinquency is not due to academic inadequacy, the University Committee on Scholarships and Financial Assistance, after a thorough evaluation of the case may allow the scholar to retain the scholarship.
Reinstatement will be allowed only once.

The scholarship does not cover the cost of transportation.
Field of Study:
Any degree course offered by the University of the Philippines.
Duration:
Undergraduate- Normal length of time required to finish the course plus one year.
Graduate:
Master's program, 2 � years including thesis
Doctoral program, four years including dissertation
The deadline for submission of the above-mentioned requirements is as follows:
April 30: for those applying for the first semester of any academic year;
August 15: for those applying for the second semester of any academic year.
