| Courtesy book reviewers, George Orwell's writings supposedly poked fun on Communism. If we look realistically at any other political system, we find that they ALL fit the Orwellian satire. The Napoleons (the big burly pigs) of the world are the real rulers. The good hearted Snowballs of the world almost never get recognition for their efforts and ideas and may even get shafted in the end. The Boxers (working people) of the world invariably intone: "Napoleon is always right." What is even more interesting (or frightening, depending on your point of view) is that Napoleons manage to accumulate so much power bestowed on them by the people, that they think they are above the Law or they manage to bend the law to fit their agenda. |
