Alaska Highway Section of the trip
Jerry and Lesly taking a break along the Alaska Highway.
Lesly was nominated as the 'Best Beggar' of the group.  All the way along the Alaska Highway, it was Lesly that got water, food and anything else we needed from RV owners.  Pullouts along the highway was her favorite part of the trip.  She interviewed many tourists about the road we still had to travel, and got information that was hardly accurate, since their perception was from a motor home and not a cycle, but nonetheless, it was good.  I have to say, we met many many fine people in those motorhomes, and they were always interested in how we were doing on the trip.
We rented this place for the night.  It is Tetsa River Lodge.  It is our 11th day on the trip, some 569 kilometers from Simpson.  This is where Jeannine used the outhouse and the red paint on the toilet seat wasn't dry yet, and she had this round red circle on her bum.  With loads of effort, we managed to get the paint off.  It was nice to have a shower and sleep in a normal bed.
Jeannine on the shoulder of the Alaska Highway.  It is a day she isn't hauling the trailer.  We had a little blue sky today which was a welcome relief from the clouds and rain.
It isn't easy travelling on the Alaska Highway.  Too much traffic and sometimes there isn't any shoulder on the road.
Orville, on the Alaska Highway.  This day was a great one, blue sky, sunny and warm.  A good day for travelling.
This is Lesly, taking a break under the caribou sign.
