This is the "Brick House" that was built around 1810 and is one of the oldest homes in Montross. The front porch was added on during the early part of the 20th century. The house has been in the Yeatman family since the early 1950s'. Mrs. Eunice Atwelll lived here. Mrs Atwell passed away September 13, 2002.

Prior to the Yeatman family the home belonged to Dr. & Mrs. Mann. There is a little house located to the left of the "Brick House" which was Dr. Manns' dentist office. Cora and Georgia Mann were Dr. Manns' daughters.

It is a proud day for James Ptucha of Montross as Governor Godwin hands him a certificate and $500 cash prize for the best essay written by a 5th grader. The Cople Elementary School student was one of nine top winners in the 20th annual Wildlife Essay Contest.

This is Ptuchas' Garden Center which is located in the former Montross Atlantic building in the center of town. Here you may purchase fresh vegetables, flowers, and fruits all grown in season in the local area. Please stop by and buy some very fine vegetables and flowers.
