The lodge was moved by the state highway department around 1926 when the present route 3 was built and placed on the old route 3, on what is now Dingley Road in Montross.
The lodge building was abandoned years later and still stands in the trees and weeds.

The Montross Furniture Company(as it was first called) first opened for business in June, 1944. At that time they were located in the Robertson Building(where the Bank of Lancaster is located today).
They were the first furniture store to open in Westmoreland County. One year after opening an addition was put on the Robertson Building to give them additional storage and display.
During their first year of business the firm was operated by Mr. S.M. Haga and Mr. J.B. Haga. In 1945 Mr. S.M. Haga bought the entire business and for the next two years devoted his full time to the operation.
In 1947, Mr. Hugh L. Sisson joined the firm as manager and Mr. Haga returned to teaching in the county schools, while Mr. Sisson devoted his full time to the business.
In December of 1948, Mr. E.E. England joined the firm as assistant manager and service manager.
On November 6, 1950 the business moved to its' present location in the Littlefield Building.
Today Mr. Hugh Sissons son Les Sisson runs the store.
