| Our Friend Orville
Up in the mountains so big and tall We have a friend named Orville who helps us all Orville is a friend to the large and the small He always greets us with a great big smile Orville works at the trash collection Where he wins everyone's affection To recycle our trash, he will take action And help us get it to the right section He keeps every thing so nice and neat From the great big dumpsters on out to the street He is a friend during sunshine, rain or sleet Everyone says "he is so doggone sweet" Now Orville is a teller of Jack Tales And has become a legend through the mountains, hills, and dales. He is a good story teller as we can tell If he tells a lie - he does it well Stretching the truth is just part of his plan He always does it with a snicker and grin With a great big beard all over his chin We are so glad to call him "our friend" David Hendrix March - 2004 |
