          Satsuko had married a Soshi upon her return from killing the one she loved. Her father set her as bride before she went to the unicorn lands, and the child was asumed to be of her Soshi husban. But he was sent away to find bandits shortly after she was his bride, she was forbidin to go with him for she was with child. He was mortally wounded in battle and died several days after.
           Satsuko was now finally able to mourn for the one she loved without raising suspision with her clan. She did not love her Soshi husband, she mourned for Okian.
           Time went by and she never wedded again. She raised her son under her maiden name, and her mother helped raise him when she was sent away. Until he was old enough to began training in the Bayushi bushi school. He exceld in all areas in he school and became his Sensai's favored student. Before he went to school Satsuko tuaght him the ways of a horse that Okian taught her, and this helped to place Orutsu well in horsemanship. Not only was he good with a blade but he was equaly as good on the back of a horse.
            As Orutsu blossomed into a samurai, the clan was posed on making plans for the greatest coup in Rokugan history. Satsuko was placed in calvary under her husbands brother Soshi Taoshi. A large man he also studied with the Unicorn.
             The time came for the great plan to start to unfold, many young scorpion who were deemed fit for battle recieved their gemppko's early. Orutsu was one of these, but he was not stationed with the forward deployed troops as many scorpion were. Even Satsuko was placed in a unit that would attack Otosan-Uchi.
              To his dis approval he was placed in service of Bayushi Yojiro, who was deemed to protect the scorpion lands while his lord was away. Little did Orutsu know that this desision would save his life.
              The scorpion took Otosan-Uchi, but the big thing was could they hold it against the combined strength of the other great clans. It was the crab clan that finally desided the outcome. The scorpion held against the lion, crane, dragon, phoenix, and the unicorn. But it was undesided at the time which side the crab would join. And the crab joined the other great clans against the scorpion and retooke Otosan-Uchi.
               With most of the clan destroyed in Osan-Uchi the scorpion remaining did not last long. Many of them went in hidding to save what was left of the persecuted clan.
                Orutsu was able to serve Bayushi Yojiro as his yojimbo, when Yojiro surrendered the clan at Kachiko's request . The clan was destroyed and hunted for a time until an opertunity awaited them to regain their rightful place in Rokugan.
                 This was a hard time for Orutsu and many scorpion, his wait in exil was long and lonely. He heard news that Satsuko was dead and many of his family, and freinds were dead. Yes this endeed was a grave time for the clan. It was true that Satsuko died at Ostan-Uchi, she made it possible for Taoshi to escape. She paid for his life with hers. Although Taoshi wanted it the other way , Satsuko was stubbern and did not heed to her brother-in-laws words.
