   Networking involves complex software and hardware applications to bring together a set of computers.

   

Hardware:

 

 

There are many different technologies involved in networking known as topolgies.
Topology - Is the geometric arrangment of computer systems and other devices within the LAN.
Some of these topolies are bus, star, and ring.
   

Software:

 

   Like hardware there are various networking applications in charge of linking together various systems. However the most commonly used is TCP/IP Transmission Control protocol and Internet protocol. Which in fact these software are free and ready to be configured on Win2000.
