Papal Claimants

Psuedo-Mysticalism
The idea that the normal means of electing the pope has been lost and that the only means of obtaining a pope is by Divine Intervention.
This is one of the more popular ideas.
However It is opposed to the Catholic Faith.
The Faith is founded on the Deposit of Public Divine Revelation, which must be believed by all that they may be saved, and which cannot be amended: added to or subtracted from.
To postulate a Divine Intervention of any kind, it is necessary to credit the Revelation that Mr. or Fr. or Bishop X is now constituted the Pope, as Public Divine Revelation, so that all may credit or believe it. That is, one must necessarily affirm that Public Divine Revelation has been amended: Added to. This is heresy.
Thus Psuedo-Mysticalism is necessarily a heresy.
This heresy is most famously plugged by the Saint Francis Newsletter and its editor, Robert F. Hess. See here 'Leter to Robert Hess'
Some of the more famous Psuedo-Mysticalist claimants are:
Conclavism:
The idea, reportedly of a Mr. Ken. Mock, of Spokane, Washington State, the U.S.A., to convene a lay assembly as a Conclave of electors to elect the pope. From his group, three factions split off and elected the following persons:
The Conclave as an apparatus to elect the pope following the death, resignation or abdication of the previous pope, is Church legislation, and the only electors are the Cardinals. The procedure is that the Cardinals are isolated and put under diminishing rations until they elect the new pope. This drastic legislation was enacted because on one occasion, following the death of a pope, the Cardinals partied rather than get down to the task of electing the next pope. The interregnum, at that time lasted over two and a half years.
Obviously, the Conclave legislation cannot apply to an assembly of extraordinary electors of the pope. That is however, not a very important point.
An Election, whether by an Acephalous Ecumenical Council, a la Constance, or by a lay assembly, as attempted by the three factions above: Bawdenites, Pentzites and Pulvermacherites, is the only legitimate means of obtaining a pope, and is in accordance with Catholic precedents, values and principles.
Notes
The above list is not exhaustive, nor is it meant to be. Many self-styled 'popes' have been disregarded, but no known 'elected' claimant is excluded. Any correction of the facts as presented above is welcome.

Other Claimants:
There are other claimants:
1. The Polish actor Charles Voltiva, (Karol Wojtyla, in Polish,) the most famous, under the name of 'Pope John-Paul 2'. An antipope in the physical possession of the Vatican, he is a Modernist heretic, and the heresiarch of the sect founded by the antipopes Roncalli (John XXIII), Montini (Paul VI) and their Anti-Council, the "Vatican-II" held in 1962 - 1965.
2. John-Gregory XVII, (sic) or Gaston Tremblay. He is the self-styled successor of another antipope, Michael Colin or Clement XV, the founder of the "Reformed Church of Christ" at Lyons. Tremblays sect is a faction, the "Magnificat," based in Saint Jovite, Quebec, Canada. There is reputedly another antipope, a mainstream rival to Tremblay in Colins sect, but nothing is known about him. He and his sect offer no explanation for the missing 'Popes John-Gregories, 1 to 16,' who, needless to add, never existed!
