Chapter 3 |
Matt pulled over at the side of the road in front of Jeff's house. "Hey Jeff, wake up buddy. Time to go home." "Huh?" Jeff stirred and looked out the window., rain was pouring hard. "Thanks Matt. Bye Amy." he opened the car door and got ready to dash out. "You sure you don't wanna come home with us?" Amy try to pursue Jeff to stay. "Nah, I'll be alright, bye!" he dashed out of the car , passed the gates and into the house. "Phew!" Jeff felt worn out. His body was sore, head pounding and now he was drench and shivering in cold. He walked to his room, took off the dame shirt and put on a comfy t-shirt. Jeff then flopped on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Sometimes he wondered, does his hard work taken seriously and appreciated? Does it really worth it to do all those crazy stuff that he did? But again, hearing those cheers and screams in the ring put his doubts away, he would give them 110%. "Ring ring.... ring ring....ring ring..." Jeff struggled to opened his eyes only to meet the dark. His phone was ringing. "Hello?" a little annoyed being interrupted from his sleep. "Jeff?" came a trembling voice. "Beth? What 's wrong?" Jeff by now was fully awake. "The thunder.." She stammered. "Calm down baby, it's ok. Nothing to be afraid off." Relieved to know that she is in no danger at all. "Can you come over Jeff? Uh?" she pledged on. How could he resisted her? He was totally defeated. "Beth darling, don't cry. I'll be over in no time. Okay?" he assured her. "Okay Jeff." with that they put down the phone. Jeff looked at his watch, 1.30 a.m.. Beth sure knows how to attract his attention. He got off his bed, tied up his hair and put on a his new extreme t-shirt in which he wants Beth to comment on. He looked out the window, the rain was still pouring. "Now where did I put my key...shit!?" Jeff suddenly remembered he had left his car at his dad's place. The only transportation he could use was his bike. "Arg! What the hell." he scolded before he picked up his motorbike key, put on his Jacket and out the door. |
