Diary of the Heart
In the many days to come,
You sit down with pen in hand,
Jotting down the things that you did,
All experiences that you even felt.

Listening to what your heart and mind tells you,
Seeing things for what they are,
Without mixed emotions that could lead you a stray,
But to bring you forth into the light.

Challenges often send you for a loop,
Telling you that you are in love,
Even when your really not,
And sorting out all with a prayer.

Lean towards the will of the strong,
With beliefs that could only mean so well,
To take you by the hand,
Forward into time where you may belong.

With these thoughts that are written,
I turn out to be what I am,
Following the path of twists and turns,
For only I belong to you.

Dreams From Afar
In the days when dreams were dreams,
Many came to realize how difficult things are,
But to most came things with cream,
That often fell apart.

When the reality of their dreams comes to an end,
Their thoughts often get clouded,
With many twists and turns around the bend,
Emptying their minds within the croud.

Times soon come and go,
Leaving hardly a trace,
Even when you enter the show,
Sometimes forgetting that you wear a brace.

After remembering that quaint little smile,
And awarding those with the shake of a hand,
Leading into those long awkward miles,
Without any doubts from the band.

Thinking of those times when you were small,
Allowing for those moments to be heard,
Thanking all who were not so tall,
Then leaving without not saying a word.

First Wedding
In the old days,
Love was hardly never present,
The father usually made his way,
To have his daughter marry a pesant.

With a shotgun in hand,
He heads the couple off to church,
Making sure that he hasn't forgot the band,
A ring of gold for old lurch.

Sweat comes down on the boys face,
As he looks down the barrel of the gun,
Then turning to the bride to be with a smile on her face,
He wishes that he was drunk from rum.

For she may not look so good to him,
Because he hasn't seen her good side,
And his hair needs to have a trim,
Often wondering why she is so wide.

The sermon didn't last to long,
To the final minute the chuch bells rang,
In harmony to the song,
For his wedding went with a big bang.

For I Love You
I shall shower you with a blanket of love,
In the form of many wonderful kiss,
And hugs that will last you a lifetime,
Until you no longer feel alone.

Listen for the coo of the white dove,
And put away what makes feel the bliss,
To accept from the one who is waiting in line,
Quite a few hugs that you can feel to the bone.

Then I will give you a smile,
That will make you see,
The one that can make you sigh,
And put your heart in time for two.

Thus you can see me for a long while,
And have you sit on my knee,
To look deep within my eyes,
So you could see that I am for you.
