Meet Diddley!
Pictures comming soon-

Diddley is my little rescue rat I got from the Humane Society allong with Bo when an irreponsable snake owner left and boarded all his feeder rats and mice up in a house with little or no food and water. I hear the conditions were really deplorable and Diddley was the product of a litter that was borne to one of the survivors.

A little agouti capped boy I found him in the cage with Bo. Bo was older and was suppose to be in another cage with another rat his own age but Bo was getting beat up. I saw Bo and and his adorable black sleek fur hanging from a jean hammock and I knew he was going home with me! It took some time to pick Diddley out however. I was trying to pick between a nice albino boy, Diddley and a whole cage full of black hooded rats. I came to the descision I wanted the little agouti hooded boy. The night previously before adopting these two rats I drempt I was going to get a black rat (Bo) and the rat who was featured in the newspaper. I had no idea which one was the newspaper rat but it turned out Diddley, the one I picked was in fact the newspaper model!! And to think I went there to adopt a single FEMALE. (oh well! Can't blame fate!)

It took about two weeks to name the two. I wanted to name Bo mittens at first but I figured that wasn't masculine enough. Then I thought about naming the black rat Midnight and the agouti capped LoverBoy after a phrase in a Mama's and Papa's song... But then I descided on Bo & Diddley which I got from 'the song of Bo Diddley'! :)

Well Diddley didn't get allong real well with Bo after he grew older. After many fights and some bloodshed I took him out of the cage and wisked Diddley off to the vet to be neautered. During this time poor Bo had gone psychotic. Ever rat he had ever lived with had beaten him to a bloody pulp and he wasn't about to let another rat move in with him again! Atleast not Diddley! So a month later after all risks of pregnancy were gone I let Diddley go live with the girls- where he remains today, living with Noel.
