ORDEALS BY FIRE 93

Sins of fathers are handed down
As legacies of fear
We keep it in the family
Hold anger for our years
Inheriting each primal gene
The legend of heirloom Earth
Animal Man and man machine
PRIMATIVES TRAINED BEFORE REBIRTH
If results of actions
Shape the future
Will ‘progress’outlast
The disease
Of our ‘culture’?

One lesson here's to adapt or die
A bloodsport against the weak
Where any outsider is paraded
Like a circus freak
No languages communicate
We only speak to separate
Suspicious of another race
SINCE MONKEYS SAW A DIFF’RENT FACE

The human races to suceed
Danger overcome by greed
That ignorance has no defence
Survival is intelligence
I'd like to know who gave the order
And who chose to obey
The writer of the programming
WHO PASSED IT ON ‘OKAY’?
Intiate's trials, ordeals by fire
The adult child hits
Tripwire...

Safety, security turning to traps
Foundations built to teach us collapse
Those who play are going to lose
The failures will make the news
And in only a moment to decide
You must choose who has lied
What system of belief truly protects
EVERY CAUSE HAS SIDE EFFECTS

Now Man’ll stride his dominion
Trample his imprint to dust
Ethnically cleansing his possible friends
In the rage of tyrannical lust
Burning for burning and wound for wound
As history returns from the text
You chose to forget the previous wars
And you'll never recall the next.
