So desire comes flooding in
Surrendering to temptation - resistance never wins
Your soul is made of light
But the body craves abuse
The addict and his litany, there's always an excuse

With a twisted sense of reason
The need just makes you weak
Half the truth remains a lie and everyone's a freak
Suppress the appetite awhile
Turn hunger to disease
The heart becomes an animal too dangerous to tease

‘Waste not, want not, just want to get wasted’

A strange new heat is on the rise
And discord feels like harmony
Don't go against your nature now, allow the flesh reality
Scavenge through the wreckage
The ruins of discipline
Trust the flow of rushing blood, give way and then give in

Now the drug no longer erases
It hardly even blurs
Must be one of those phases, continuing for years
When old corruptions creep back in
Whose voice across the wilderness
Pulls you down to satisfy, the fleet eternal bliss?
