Return to Innocence
//Love-Devotion
Feeling-Emotion //
The waves lapping at the shore glowed the warm colors of sunset and reflected off his eyes. He could see their distorted reflections as Viggo moved closer to his side. See their intertwined fingers swinging gently, glowing a darker shade than the water, except where the light caught the silver rings.
//Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend//
He lifted their clasped hands, studying carefully for long moments the play of light against the backdrop of sound. His forehead moved to touch it, and he closed his eyes, sliding his face up, feeling the texture of Viggo's hand; warming the cool metal with his lips.
//That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence. //
He opened his eyes when he felt the warmth of Viggo's face close to his. Viggo's eyes were an odd mix of clear blue tinged with gold and orange. Beautiful, really. They were speaking quietly to him in a language he now found that he could understand...
//If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry//
The way he could understand the sound of the waves, and the wind...and even the silence.
//Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny. //
He smiled slowly, letting it spread over his face, and reach his eyes the way the sunset reached across the horizon.
//Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way//
Raising his head until it was resting on their hands, less than an inch away from Viggo's face. And Viggo's contemplative gaze had turned into a smile as well.
//Don't give up and loose the chance
To return to innocence //
They were both leaning forward, until their cheeks were touching, a soft brushing of skin that could be likened to a kiss, but meant something different somehow.
//That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself//
The world was spinning, slow and gentle. Out of focus. In the approaching dark, it seemed as if they were surrounded by the waves; a thousand pinpoints of light, and warmth. Comforting velvet of darkness. Words of the heart needn't be spoken when they were back here.
//The return to innocence//
