Summary - This site will represent the upcoming Cathedral City Recreational Center, which is a facility that I hope to open one day in the future.
Content - The variety of activities that will be held at the CCRC will be on display. Also, the different types of memberships will be available online.
Competition - The Palm Desert Civic Center will be the primary Competition. The Rec Center has a variety of activities throughout the day, and is also kept very neat. Personally, I enjoy playing basketball there. The downside is that its 7.4 miles from Cathedral City, and if you don't buy a $125 annual membership due to not being a local, its $5 every session. Cathedral City lacks a recreational center for the people to go and be active, without the anxiety public gyms bring.
Purpose - The purpose is to showcase the positive reinforcement that a rec center can have on a community. This website will also play a key role in starting up the movement to recievie funding to build this center. Its a goal of mine to open the rec center in the future.
Desired Results - I want the users at this site to be able to relate to the activities provided and be able to sign up for individual classes. This site will also have a function to sign up for a monthly membership, and the payment process will be concluded at the property.
Target Audience - The target audience should be extremely wide. It can span from a high school student that wants to take extra shots in the basketball gym to an older couple who wants to join a pickleball league.
