Welcome to the Winter Park YMCA CFMAA Satellite page. We hold safety seminars, open to the public, at this location every last Saturday of the month, as well as at any other special events held. Classes are open to all ages 5+ and all genders. You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to participate.

Pre-registration is strongly suggested to ensure a spot, as space is limited. You may either register at the YMCA or at CFMAA.

Are the seminars on-site?
Yes. We teach in one of the aerobics room, from 12:00- 1:00 pm, at the end of each Wellness Fair. -
When are the seminars held?
Each seminar is held from 12:00- 1:00 pm at each Wellness Fair, which are in turn held on the last Saturday of each month. We also participate in other special events that the YMCA offers; for updates on these, please either contact us or check our events page. -
Who can attend?
These are generalized safety seminars for the public, you do not have to be a member of the YMCA to participate. All ages 5+, as well as all genders, are invited to participate. Everyone will have something to learn. -
Is there an extra fee for this?
Yes. Each seminar costs $10.00 per attendee. This money is turn donated to either the YMCA scholarship fund or CFMAA's scholarship fund, based on an as-needed basis. 100% of the money raised goes towards these scholarship funds. -
Are these 'regular' martial arts classes?
CFMAA focuses it's curriculum around practical, realistic self defense, whether it be through our regular class schedule or in specialized/ generalized safety seminars. These seminars, however, do not involve bowing, traditional terminology, or uniforms like our regular martial arts classes, and you do not need to have experience in martial arts to participate.
