| Birth- 2963 Death-None* Race-Hobbit Sex- Male Frodo was the only son of Primula Brandybuck and Drogo Baggins. On their tragic death in 2980, he was adopted by Bilbo Baggins and went to live with him at Bag End. In 3001, when Bilbo left the Shire, Frodo inherited all of Bilbo's possesions including the One Ring (although he did not know that it was the One Ring at the time). In 3018, on Gandalf the Grey's advice, Frodo left the Shire under the name of Mr. Underhill. Going with him were Samwise, Meriadoc and Peregrin. At Bree he met Strider(aka Aragorn) and went to Rivendell. In Imladris he volunteered to take the One Ring to the Cracks of Doom, the only place where it could be destroyed. 8 other people were chosen to be in the Fellowship- Legolas, Gandalf, Gimli, Samwise, Peregrin, Meriadoc, Boromir and Aragorn. Eventually the Fellowship split up and only Samwise and Frodo went to Mt. Doom. After a fight with Gollum (in which the creature bit Frodo's finger off) Gollum fell into the volcano, holding the Ring. Frodo is also known as the Ringbearer, Nine-fingered Frodo and Master(by Samwise) *Frodo's death is not accounted for as he sailed over the Sea to Elvenhome. |
