| Iain was born in Perth, Western Australia on the 6th May 1982, and began playing a musical intrument at the age of 11. It was only the Tenor drums in a Pipe Band, but this beginning lead to then learning and playing the Snare drum solely. After 4 years of concentrating only on the Snare drum, he decided he wanted to progress and have a larger variety drums to do more things with. So at the end of 1998, his parents bought him his first drum kit. Progress on the kit started slowly with Iain not really knowing where to start. But after a trip to the local music shop and a purchase of the drum book for Metallica's 'Ride the Lightning', he started jamming to his favourite songs such as 'For Whom the Bell Tolls', 'Fade to Black', and 'Creeping Death'.. This jamming to favourite songs (mostly Metallica) continued until early 2000 when brother (Alisdair) became good enough to jam with. And with these jams, came to desire to join a band. So the search for members began, and the rest is history..... Iain loves to listen to most traditional/power metal bands. His largest influences on his drumming come from Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden, and John Bonham (Led Zeppelin). Although he loves to listen and watch other great drummers such as Virgil Donati, Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, Greg Bissonette, Dennis Chambers, e.t.c.
