Frank Wells

Frank Wells was the oldest of three sons in the Wells family. As the oldest he was the first of the brothers to begin to work and help to support the family. Frank Wells started out his career in the draper business but later gave it up for a job that he much preferred, traveling from village to village selling and repairing watches and clocks. After giving up his draper business Frank Wells returned home and lived with his father Joseph Wells in his cottage. H. G. Wells, Frank's little brother, helped him financially and as a result his business began to do well.

Fred Wells

Fred Wells or Freddy kept his originally appointed job for the longest. He was eventually let go from the firm that he worked at, to make room for the bossed son. After he was let go Fred Wells had very little savings left and eventually moved to South Africa and spent his days in Johannesburg regarded, at the time, as "the richest spot in earth" because of its large gold deposits.
