ABOUT ORP:

Matt and I started writing a story together after he'd read some of my other stories because he thought they were really funny and stuff, this was at the start of 2003. My dad worked for Macromedia at the time and got us both Flash MX, which is a really cool animation program. Because we had that resource we decided to try and make some cartoon things. Originally we wanted to make an animated version of Bob and Joe, but those stories were too long and we couldn't decide on a style for them. Instead we decided to make a new thing. We went through our ideas and came up with District of Columbia Smith. He was meant to be kind of like the Crocodile Hunter and also like Indiana Jones at the same time. We decided to have him sound like Indiana Jones and look like him, whilst being sorta like the Croc Hunter also. We got the name DC from a site with all the American states on it, and chose District of Columbia because it is a territory, as is Indiana. We animated the 1st scene of the cartoon and then ran out of time because of school and stuff. The name Original Rip-off Productions came as we needed something to sign our work with. It kind of means that our DC Smith thing was a rip-off of Indiana Jones and stuff. Another name we thought about was Soy Boy Studios, but although that does sound better than ORP, it abbreviates to SBS which is the name of a TV channel so we chose not to.

ABOUT ME:

I'm 15 years old and live in Australia. I like drawing sometimes and writing can be fun but I'm getting real lazy so don't expect to see too much new stuff that is actually any good on this site.
