SCHWARZLOCH AUGUST LAWN PARTY
Schwarzloch would like to invite all to our August 2009 Lawn Party begin held from Friday August 21st thru Sunday August 23rd.
Site will open Friday at 3PM and close Sunday at Dusk / Dark.
The site will have available, a tapped / Faucet potable water source nearby but bring something to transport it to your pavilion. A Toilet and small shower located indoors, scenic views, walks, and historical locations, so bring your walking shoes and photo gear. Plus, a small community playground just a few minutes’ walk away.
Pavilion overflow area if we get approval, has NO accommodations (Primitive camping). Toilets and water source at main site about a 4 minute walk away, early reservations insures closest available camp site to resources. Considerations and exceptions for disabled and large families comes first.
There is limited camping space (Currently working on approval for over flow space). No open ground fires will be allowed. We will provide a small BBQ Grill and an enclosed above ground fire pit for day time grill style cooking and as a Bardic fire pit at night. Be sure to bring Aluminum foil and BBQ / Charcoal briquettes for cooking if using the BBQ Grill or fire pit. You can bring your own cooking stoves / Grills as well, but again space may be tight as people arrive so be sure cooking sources are easily mobile.
Area will probably have Mundane visitors passing as it is located on a historical and Scenic walk route so be aware of peace bonding weapons and site security. We do have areas currently nearby for target Archery, Fencing, plus Heavy Fighting all a short distance walk away from the camp site and a games area for youth activities while under parental supervision (playground area).
We will have NO specific events planned and will simply see who shows with what and go from there. Shoes HIGHLY required (this is also a sheep grazing area at times). We will do our best to insure it is cleaned beforehand of any biological “presents” from our four legged friends. However wear foot gear just to be safe please. Galwin will have his game boxes available for use if asked.
Site also has two Honeybee hives on location, if allergic to bee stings insure you have bee sting kits for same and insure children have shoes to prevent them from accidentally stepping on flowers which may have bees working in them to prevent accidental stings to bare feet. The area holds a variety of livestock plus free roaming chickens to include passing horses. All measures should be taken for child supervision. There is also a small 6 to 7 foot deep natural underground spring fed pond directly next to the camp site. And a larger one a 3 minute or so walk away. Swimming is allowed, but ADULT SUPERVISION is MANDITORY. No Lifeguard on duty type thing, swim at own risk!!!!
There will be no feast nor other meals provided during the event so pack accordingly. There is a small store and butcher shop with in a 15 minute walk or a 3 to 5 minute drive of the site. Closest military base and large town is about a 30 minute drive away which is the Ansbach / Katterbach areas.
There will be No parking directly on site but with-in close proximity, parking WILL be tight.
