Did you survive!

Strange how my heart trembles to find myself upon you shore,
Madness and delusion will be companions forevermore,
Where daylight is fading and evening forever falls.
From within me the spirit of a stricken Knight calls,
"Lay me to rest"; Could it be that I am still sleeping?
For an instant I stall, for it scares me completely.
As I trudge the road, before me a silhouette is crying,
The elixir of the forests, fields and earth is dying.
The wound runs deep, I fear the land will never recover,
Carry me to my own, to where I can safely cross over.

A power waits in silence, yet bids the bell to ring,
From an underground church his horde is arising.
Where the battlefield writhes, I cannot stay,
Remote from home, feeling too far away!
Forever hoping to find the memories, I left so far behind,
A tangle of unease and grief is clutching at my mind.
Incessantly searching the murky afterlight,
I am cast adrift in an ocean of fright.
My cringing cadaver strives to remain whole,
Another body wants my mind, a spirit needs my soul!
And in the Masters' chamber, they gather for a feast,
I stab it with my steely sword, but I just can't kill the beast.
Shadow Torr, doff my hat, forgive me I cannot stay,
Bow down, then flee for home, feeling oh so far away.

Die!
"Goodbye," said the Guardian, "I am so glad to receive;
Go out any time you like, but you can never leave!"
Why is death steadfastly stalking, slinking ever so near,
Why does the white rabbit feast on the fallow deer?
But still those shrill voices are crying from far away,
Pursued me through the dim twilight, I'm sure I heard him say:
"Stay still you selfish soul, is this the way its going to be,
Vitality for only you, and nought for me?"

Suddenly six, saintly, shrouded spirits, safely show me the way.
Finally I hasten North, feeling not far enough away.
Truly though I am at last departing,
I realise I must continue trusting,
That time was surreal, I was lost in its season,
Like a child passing through, never knowing the reason.
