| Human cloning Technology and science are improving everyday. We discover something new day by day, and now human beings are gong to create how to make human beings which is called human cloning, it is a situation we need to think about cloning very seriously. This new technology was discovered in the early 1990s for cows and sheep, but physicians did not have a proof that it was not going to have any problem. Biologists�f ideas are that they take genetic information from an adult and that material is put into an egg. If it is good in condition, that egg which going to develop to an embryo and it is going to be a baby. Cloning is going on at the fertility clinics in United States and some countries, because it is only in fertility clinics where very high technology exits. That is done at fertility clinics, not biotechnology companies or anywhere else. They do cloning with a physician who knows how to develop embryos. The physician also needs to have knowledge in fertility treatment. There are tow necessary skills for cloning fort them. First, they need to know how to take an egg to remove the nucleus, and then to put that nucleus back with a nucleus from a body cell. That is the technique that in fertility physicians use. Next, which is very important, is taking that embryo and putting in the women�fs uterus. That is not so hard like others, so that in fertility physicians do almost everyday. Other doctors do not do that because it would be very hard for them. Physicians who are succeeded will clone human beings if the time comes. Politically, fertility treatments are very important in United States. When the national bioethics advisory commission invited fertility physicians to discuss about human cloning couple years ago, they all refused. All religious disagree about human cloning, because it is not right way to have a child. Of course, it is natural that a male and a female have sex and have a baby. Obviously, there is no love when they have clone child. However, some women who want to be a mother but do not need a husband go to sperm bank and get pregnant. Some gay couples pay money and ask a woman to carry the baby, too. People already know the best way for them. If a couple have a clone child because they have a problem to have a natural born baby, the child will be exactly like one parent and grow up and behave like him or her. If a woman got a baby who was cloned by her, the baby would be genetically her sister. But the mother probably treats the baby as her child. The social situation will be confusing. For example, if a girl�fs father has an identical twin brother, her uncle is also her genetic father. According to identical twins, identical twin is a clone of his or her twin because they have exactly same genetic information. However, if they grow up in different environment and situation, they will be different people. There are some advantages of human cloning. One is that children will get very healthy bodies. They can avoid from risks of serious diseases. Second is that children will be able to have the behavioral cognitive or talent from their parents. Rulers, like Hitler, usually want to have their clones because they think it�fs going to be easy to rule again. If he does that, it is going to be very big problem. In my opinion, cloning is not good idea because it seems we are against the nature. Nobody is perfect in this world, but if we start making human clones, it�fs going to be possible to make perfect people. It is also true that people want to be perfect, so when a couple wants to have a child, they hope their child to be perfect. They maybe to have a clone child. As I saw in �gGattaca�h, it is very sad to be born without parents�f love. If parents have a clone child, they will expect that the child will be exactly like his or her mother or father. Everything that lives in this world is real not like a video game. When you play the video game, you can start same game even if you lose. Even clone people will have soul for each. If they have to something they do not want to do for they are clones, they will claim it. They will need to have a right as a human being. Thus, we need to discuss and consider about cloning very deeply. People and religion are against it, but it is true that clone cows and sheep already exist in this world and it�fs necessary for human now. We have to realize about the worth of human for each. |
