![]() Ivan "Don Diego" De La Vega (1990's-2000) |
The architect of a major trafficking organization which smuggled tons of cocaine into the United States and at least 12 other countries around the globe. Don Diego was thrust into the public eye when US customs agents seized 25 tons of cocaine with an estimated street value in excess of $1 billion dollars in August of 2000. Caught in a web which will undoubtedly lead to a life sentence, De LaVega specialized in moving cocaine throughout the world by sea. He can safely be called the lord of the sea a man who's unique abilities and innovative techniques put him the same category as legendary product movers Carlos Lehder and Amado Carrillo Fuentes. Don Diego conducted business throughout the Caribbean, Venezuela, Columbia, Greece and the United States. In addition to the large haul of finished product, agents also found an extensive cache of counter surveillance equipment and high powered weapons. |
