Why do I feel like I cant even begin to write
about how I saw love right in my sights
like an angel among us surrounded in light
she lifted my heart bringing it to a new height
I was overwhelmed by the beauty in her eyes
lost in her gaze they became my sun,moon and starlit sky
but for some reason I let her walk by
unknowing she'd end up at my friends side
the situation makes it easier to realize
that you should never let your true feeling hide
or you could be shaken on a heartfelt ride
that leaves you to a desiring demise
where you cant even let your feelings start to rise
I just hope she gave up on me from her own descision
and not someone elses words or impressions
now I'll step aside and be a man
I just hope she realizes that I do give a damn
