| Hours of Work: (21 OS 908) [Return to Top] Sunday work is forbidden for employees engaged in manufacturing, mechanical or construction work; those engaged in "servile labor"; those engaged in the horse-racing industry; and those engaged in the sale of goods not considered to be "necessities." However, this law is widely ignored, and it may be subject to challenge as an unconstitutional establishment of religion (as the statute clearly is labelled as designed to prevent "Sabbath-breaking"). |
