Hanging 10 is Constitutional Right, argues Pat Robertson
"...Pat Robertson talks with ACLJ attorney Jay Sekulow about citizens' rights to display the Ten Commandments in relation to the Kentucky case...[PAT ROBERTSON:] Well, joining us now by telephone to talk about these [Ten] Commandments is Jay Sekulow. He's one of the leading constitutional authorities in the United States. ...But, Jay, this whole thing is ludicrous. I mean, to say you can't display the Ten Commandments. The Constitution never intended that, did it? [JAY SEKULOW (American Center for Law & Justice)]: Well, you're absolutely right, Pat. And in reality, the Supreme Court has not said you can't post the Ten Commandments, either. What the Supreme Court said was that a statute out of Kentucky--and, interestingly, that's where the case Stone vs. Graham came from in 1980--said the state cannot mandate that they're posted solely by themselves. But there are school districts all over this country that have copies of the Ten Commandments posted. It's voluntarily done. ..." (Added 11.11.99)

Keeping the Commandments
"...The Ten Commandments are sprouting up faster than bluegrass in parts of southern Kentucky, including on peoples' front lawns. And if state Representative Bo Ausmus has his way, it will be possible and clearly legal to put them up anywhere. Ausmus has introduced legislation in the state House that would take the decision out of the hands of liberal judicial activists...."This is the beginning of something bigger than Kentucky, it's bigger than this country, and I believe that it's God. And I believe you're only seeing the tip of the iceberg of what God's getting ready to do."...The rally in Corbin may not itself influence the federal courts to reverse existing rulings on the Ten Commandments. But it may signal the emergence of a powerful grassroots movement throughout the country to restore the Ten Commandments to civic life in America. ..." (Added 11.11.99)

Ten Commandments to be posted in schools?
The last in the line to emphasize the need of posting the Ten Commandments in public schools is publisher Steve Forbes. One thing that is hardly ever mentioned when this issues comes up, is that there is a huge difference between the Catholic version of the Ten Commandments, used and revered by Protestants all over the world, and the Biblical version of the Ten Commandments
. Now it goes without saying that the version to be posted in the one-time foremost Protestant nation in the world, USA, is the Catholic version, and this is truly amazing.
