Much of the damage to our political system has come as a result of extending the constitutional protections and rights extended to persons to corporate entities, in effect giving them what has been termed "corporate personhood". My number one priority as president would be to remove all constitutional rights from corporations. Corporations should be given only the rights granted to them by specific legislation. They should be prevented from any form of political activity. This includes campaign funding, lobbying and the creation, funding or participation in any political action committee. Corporations should be held accountable to the people. Any action, process, product or result of production that endangers, damages, exploits or diminishes the rights, lives or welfare of the natural citizens of the earth or the shared natural commons should result in appropriate penalties including, if necessary, the corporate "death penalty". Until we the people make a concerted effort to put the rights and welfare of people, animals, and the preservation of our natural resources and commons above the pursuit of profits, there will be no justice, no peace, no freedom and eventually no life on this planet.
